Emily lurks and attacks! ([info]sassylime) wrote,

Current mood: thoughtful

I expected there to be a lot of activity at BNW today, what with the Quidditch match and the play cast list. I didn't expect it to be quite that kind of activity, though clearly my characters (or character, since it was just Corrie) contributed.

Interesting to see how things spiral.

Where Corrie is concerned, it seems to be the latest episode of her grand tradition of being a huge twit when Lorcan isn't around to see it. In this case, she's partly taking out her frustration at him being hurt, but she also has a history of not liking to be lectured. That's why she started disliking Kitty (lecturing her about gillyweed and not using it to run away from problems), that's why she started disliking Lysander (all of his comments about being vegan struck her as pretentious).

She had some good lines in there (she can be pretty clever when she's mad), but I didn't particularly enjoy when she got so angry my hands started to shake. Made it difficult to type. Odd feeling, that. She and I both took breaks at that point.

Anyway, I apologize if anything she said offended anyone. Or really, I should probably say I apologize that it did offend people, because when she's trying to offend she generally succeeds.

Mac was much more fun tonight, though I didn't play him long.

:) Mac is useful in these moments of drama, to clear my mind if nothing else.

I loved that too! He was baffled. It reminded me of when she gave Eoghan points for not letting people bait him. (Can't remember who that was, but I thought it was very mature of him, and he definitely earned the points.)

No offense to me - Corrie only talked to Rachel, and only briefly. :) I'm sorry that she wasn't very willing to listen to Rachel, though, she was apparently in a "you can't prove anything" mood on top of everything else.

And now the sane comment: Hi :) I don't think you need to apologize either for IC interaction, but <33333

<33 Thankee. I do feel a bit bad, though. I don't like it when my characters make a bad situation worse, or turn a situation bad in the first place. It may be IC, but I have Guilt.

I understand! My characters try to diffuse tension. Or at least Lily does. Hence 50 exclamation points. IT CARRIED OVER.

Corrie is lucky Marty can't see that "sometimes I think Bruce was the only one in his family worth anything" line because Marty already wants to punch her in the face, girl or not.

Makes sense. Though Corrie doesn't see what being a girl has to do with anything, of course.

Yeah. Marty's parents actually tried to teach him not to hit girls for whatever that reasoning was. Anyway, I don't foresee positive interaction anytime soon. Maybe not ever.

Well, they haven't been having positive interaction for awhile anyway, to be honest. But I can see that it would be even less likely now.

Hmm, I think that makes sense. He crossed hers when he started talking about Hollyoaks, so it's fair that it would be the same the other way around.

When would that have been, exactly? Because I'm pretty sure in that argument over calling Annie a slag, he never said anything about Hollyoaks specifically, and he never admitted to being the person in the slambook, despite Hollyoaks' attempt to call him out. And the only other time he said something was in a private conversation with Luke.

Oh, I know his comments have been restricted to conversations with Luke and in the slambook. It pretty much comes down to Corrie having a sisterly bias, and believing Hollyoaks over Marty or any of her other friends - if Hollyoaks had said it was someone else, she probably would have believed that too, because she's possessive and protective of her family. It's not particularly fair or logical, but she's not either.

I thought there might be. I really am sorry about that, as trite as it may sound... (Though hopefully it doesn't sound insincere - I rarely apologize for things my characters do, so hopefully that makes a difference...?) I thought in the first place that I shouldn't let her comment on anything tonight, but I did anyway. I still think it was in-character, but it was supremely crappy and I wish I'd held her back.

We're okay, Em. I mean CM hates corrie enough to want to send her a dead rat in the mail, but you and I are fine.

Luckily Cm's the type that if she's really mad at someone she just stops talking to them, so it really didn't go any further than that. But yeah. It was bad.
